I am developing a book-length project on the strategic power of gathering. At its core is a simple argument: conferences, meetings, destinations, and institutions create value that goes far beyond direct economic impact. When they are approached thoughtfully, they can build trust, legitimacy, momentum, memory, and the conditions for innovation to take hold.

The project draws on experience across business leadership, branding, destination development, and public engagement. It is shaped by work in automotive, advertising, hospitality, and convening, and by a continuing interest in the intersections of sustainability, science, technology, community, and long-term growth

The book project asks how we better understand the full value of convening. Not only what a meeting generates in the short term, but what it makes possible over time: new collaborations, institutional confidence, civic energy, talent attraction, investment, and shared belief in what a place or sector can become.

This is not a book about events as logistics. It is a book about events, meetings, and gathering as instruments of strategy, identity, and change.

Alongside the longer manuscript, I publish shorter pieces that test and refine the larger argument. These articles are a place to think in real time: to respond to what I’m seeing in meetings and destinations, to examine emerging questions, and to connect practical experience with broader public meaning.
